Diets don't work
I believe in sustainable and achievable lifestyle changes for improved health and wellbeing.
Often weight loss is an added benefit of this approach.
Many of our beliefs about food come from our childhood - spinach makes you strong, fish makes you clever, sandwich crusts make your hair curl, sugar gives you energy, fat makes you fat, brown bread is better than white, orange juice is a great source of vitamin C, porridge is really good for you etc.
These are not scientific based facts, but as we grow up these beliefs are often reinforced by marketing and media (maybe not the curly hair one!)
I encourage you to rethink the way you consume food
What I won't do -
* Tell you what to eat (or what no to)
* Ask you to count calories / macros
* Weigh or measure you
* Give you a standard meal plan
* Recommend a particular diet
* Judge your choices
* Promise unrealistic results
* Provide you with a magic pill
What I will do -
* Help you tailor and personalise your goals
* Explain the science behind different ways of eating
* Explore different approaches to find one that suits
* Help you plan meals to suit budget, time etc.
* Consider other factors that impact health including:
sleep, stress, exercise and mindset
* Help you overcome personal challenges
* Help you reflect and refocus
* Be your biggest cheerleader
* Encourage you to enjoy food without feeling deprived
